Why not, L2 had months to prepare. It could be as simple as L2 maintaining a spread sheet for their legal costs during the trials or it could be something they track in their accounting software. Print out an itemized list, cross off the items that qualify per the ruling and submit the list to the court. Couple of days, maybe May 10.
QMC reviewing the list within 14 days, yes that was probably unlikely. But when the SEC suspending trading on May 12, I could see Pasaca telling Steve to just accept the list and pay it. They didn't need to continue dragging out the court case with the SEC putting them under the microscope. More important things to be concerned about, like answering the SEC allegations and filing the missing reports.
Court case terminated on May 17, five days after suspension.
