There is nothing withing CYDY's control that can get us an EUA with the FDA for COVID treatment at this point. We have to come in the backdoor (international) if there is any hope. The pandemic is winding down in the US anyway, as the hospitalizations and death rates are plummeting. Over half of the states reported single digit deaths on a 7 day average over the past week as vaccination rates have reached 50%.
We have to think about what is best for CYDY going forward. That isn't calling the FDA to the carpet over COVID when we simply did not hit our PE and aren't even starting another redesigned trial. We need the FDA for our future in HIV, Cancer, etc. I don't know if we'll have any place in the global COVID therapeutic market anytime soon, and I have my doubts based on 3 years of hearing rumors of traction with other countries on a number of fronts that never materialized. Either way, the biggest domino that can realistically fall for CYDY in 2021 is getting the BLA for HIV accepted and approved 3 full years after the end of our P3 trial. It's time.
