I'm an engineer by trade. Whether it's COVID or "climate change", the minute science let politics become a variable in the equation I stopped listening to scientists.
I'm old enough to have lived through a number of events predicted by scientists that never came to fruition. At least two ice ages, insects taking over the world (remember The Hellstrom Chronicle), sea level rising several feet due to melted polar ice caps, and Mr. Bean winning an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Dramatic Role.
To me at this point, the choice whether to wear a mask or not, get vaccinated or don't, is the same as deciding to wear a motorcycle helmet in state where it's not required. Personal choice based on your own assessed risk.
Bottom line, you're gonna die. And if you believe in reincarnation, you're gonna die twice.
