My guess is there is other Attribution patent appl

What Verb is doing and has been doing for years is very clever and the patents do block others from doing it as more get approved.
What I don't think people have realized yet is attribution is not just for direct sales companies. It has so many applications way beyond that.
What was interesting today and watching the video that is also in the presentation I linked, is how attribution works and also why that link you posted plays into it.
If I invite someone to attend your presentation, when they click on a button to buy, the buyer gets taken to MY web page to buy. Yeah MY web page so I get credit.
So you need the app and your own web page to get credit. I don't know if the presenter gets a cut. Probably as they aren't doing it for the heck of it. So both the presenter and the person that invited others need the app. Why that is great news is, more associates signing up for the app otherwise they don't get squat. You can really see why it makes sense that everyone has it and not just an option thing for people that like apps.
If anyone downloads the presentation from the Verb website, put it in present mode so you can click on the videos to play

But wait, there is more...

I go out to that patent side every few months to see what is new. I'm sure you do as well.
What I just noticed at the bottom of your linked page was Verb's other application that was filed Nov 13, 2020 just got published yesterday! I wouldn't have caught that for a few months if you didn't post the other one as I was just looking last week.
For those that don't remember, when you apply for a patent is like doesn't show up for 12-18 months on purpose so other companies don't change a few things and apply for something similar a day later.
It was really nice to see this one as I remember when Rory said they applied. I also remember the full-time doubters saying it didn't exist.
When this application gets approved for a patent, Verb can license the tech. That can be very lucrative. I suspect this app as already has updates sent in.

Publication number: 20210144452
Abstract: Systems and methods for interactive live video streaming in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes an interaction encoder for transmitting interactive live video streams, including a processor, and a memory, containing an interaction encoding application, where the interaction encoding application directs the processor to obtain media data comprising a video track, receive a request to generate an interaction object in the video track at a given timestamp of the video stream, generate interaction data based on the request, where the interaction data includes a data structure capable of being decoded in near-real time to produce the interaction object in the video track at the timestamp when played back, and transmit the interaction data to an interaction decoder.
