Another view of the proposal scenario...
All spruced up you start thinking about how she'll react to you
- living in your parent's basement,
- not having any income (yet),
- having tons of debt (to loan sharks),
- having many pending lawsuits,
- having a drinking problem,
- having Tourette's syndrome
and last but not least having very unhappy share/dividend holders.
So you get cold feet and call off the whole thing!
