A very good broadcast this evening with a surprise announcement of a filing for an EUA, along with having a patient from the Philippines who recovered discussing his case. Also the discussions with India seem to be progressing. The obvious concern on the broadcast is the cost of the drug and some doctors concerns about the fact it’s not an approved drug. If the EUA is approved the worry about the drug not being approved goes away since all the vaccines are also EUA , not approved. The price of the drug is concerning and hoping the Philippine government comes in to subsidize some of the costs to the patients and hospitals. It may be tough to get that support while under Compassionate use. But very feasible under EUA. With their Congress submitting a bill to speed up the EUA process in the country , the stars may be aligning for a relatively quick EUA approval.
