A number of people on this forum have accused the FDA of corruption, malfeasance complicity etc. I heard a promotion for an HBO special called The Crime of the Century. Airs I believe on May 10, 2021. It is an expose on the FDA and OxyContin. In it, according to the promo, the special talks about how BP, especially the manufacturer, Purdue?, turned one or two key people at the FDA to promote the approval of OxyContin. The special reportedly goes into many of the other irregular actions taken within the FDA regarding the drug and its monitoring. If the special is well presented, it might become another arrow in the quiver to fight the FDA.
I don’t dismiss the allegations of possible corruption at the FDA as a reason for the constant roadblocks in front of Leronlimab. I also include DC bureaucratic inertia. Often labeled the greatest power ever known. If things worked before don’t change them.
Also the system in which implementing regulations for the FDA are published for public comment and BP reviews the regulations with hundreds of staff to ensure the regulations are BP friendly. Fourthly even when corruption is exposed the worst penalty is a slap on the wrist.
