Back earlier this year, both Seychelles and Maldives crowed about their bold plans to vaccinate their inhabitants, and be "open for business" for tourism by summer. Seychelles touted itself as "the most vaccinated nation on earth."
Now both are getting rocked by a spike of infections, with Seychelles initiating lockdown measures. Some penny traders might not like this, but the trash they used as vaccines were AZ and Sinopharm. I don't generally comment on the latter, as that trash isn't even approved in the US, but everyone should know by now about the status of the former (which, likewise isn't approved in the US, and has been discontinued in other places. Because it's trash.)

Also, places like Thailand, that were doing fairly well, loosened restrictions.. now they're facing the consequences.
