It may be that they think they may be able to predict responders based on RO, but they haven't succeeded at accomplishing this yet. So I don't think NP was confused about RO vs. tropism test. He was talking about some exploratory science that hasn't worked out.
BP claims that he didn't do any RO work for combo HIV trials, but NP seems to say that he was working on it for monotherapy trial.
It indeed would be very interesting if RO somehow predicted responders. Hopefully the other two vendors are having more success than BP at that.
Or maybe BP and NP are just overly optimistic? Would be interesting to hear BP's take on RO predicting responders, if you wouldn't mind clearing things up for us.

HIV patients received dosages of 350 mg, 525 mg, or 700 mg of leronlimab once a week (229, 201, and 134 patients, respectively) with approximately 150 patients exhibiting sustained viral suppression at approximately one year of monotherapy. The rate of viral load suppression post-10 weeks of monotherapy was 68%, 94%, and 85% with 350 mg, 525 mg, and 700 mg, respectively. The failure criteria post-10 weeks was three increasing viral loads over 50 cp/mL or one viral load over 1000 cp/mL.
