That makes three: Farah, Miranda, and Eli.

All three have posted videos of their recovery. For sure Farah is with Dr. Gaylis in Florida. For sure Eli is also with Dr. Gaylis in Florida.

I can't remember if Miranda is in Georgia or Florida.

One or all could be placebo but so unlikely.

There are only 56 total patients in the long hauler trial, half on placebo.

So it seems 3 of 28 have solid positive responses. Wonder what the p-value is on that?

Could be diminished if some placebo patients also improve.

Gaylis is really promoting leronlimab aggressively.

So much so that he is using these patient videos to recruit more patients.

Aren't the Gaylis videos quite an unusual development?

Are there any other examples of blinded patients in clinical trials doing promotional videos basically under the assumption that they are benefitting from the drug?

Does the FDA have rules against this sort of thing.

Seems to me there is an important difference between covid critical and covid long hauler patients and their relationship with leronlimab.

The covid long haulers are fully conscious not only of their engagement with leronlimab but also fully conscious of the progression of their symptoms. And the long haulers remain fully conscious throughout the entire duration of their clinical trial.

So perhaps the long haulers view leronlimab with a much more critical eye than seriously ill covid patients.

Does the long hauler patient's consciousness create the potential for confirmation bias? Possibly. But also without a doubt the leronlimab long haulers can be certain without a shadow of a doubt if they are doing significantly better. You can see the relief and gratitude so clearly.
