I firmly believed that there would be an initial rush for vaccine followed by a big slow down as a large population of US do not trust FDA, Government, Dr Fauci many this is a huge failure who flip flops and has lost trust in Americans.
There was an initial rush for the 65+, nursing homes, medical field personnel, some government employees and the group of people more afraid of covid than a new rushed to market vaccine with no longterm data. We really don’t know how many people will have side effects months or years down the road because this is in essence a huge clinical Trial as you see there was enough side effects from the AstraZeneca and Johnson Johnson that they have been halted. This leads to more distrust in the FDA.
I don’t think we will see herd immunity anytime soon. I do think we will keep seeing these variants. There is nothing stopping the variants from all the other countries that will take years and years to become 60-70% vaccinated. This means huge Covid Severe Critical Therapeutic Market Worldwide and Longhaulers worldwide market for many years to come. Bashers, Shorts, Flippers talk like vaccines are going to instantly make covid disappear however most of us know that’s not going to happen as much as we would all like to see it.
