If you think about it, Google is now called Alphabet for a reason and very difficult to change later on like then did. Not sure anyone even remembers and still calls everything Google that they do.
Microsoft named Office or now 365 for a reason. If you have one product, you can just name that product after the company, but if you have more than one, you've created a bit of a marketing nightmare for yourself.
The name Verb has been using for the marketplace, is along the lines of you know a bit about the site from the name just like you do with talkshoplive.com although Verb's marketplace rolls off the tongue a little easier.
The other problem talkshoplive has is what happened to me as I was googling it to make sure the name. I typed in shoptalklive and the first link is a Fine Woodworking website. You can rearrange shop, talk and live a number of different ways and while you may think that will be far and few between, you'd be very surprised. I don't know the stats now, but is used to be many people that search on the internet just typed one word and a short word at that. Likely now people do a bit more than that, but many searches type in the bare minimum and few use any kind of filtering which I would say probably a fraction of 1%.
Choosing names is tough because you also have to figure out the domain name aspect of it. Will people mistype it. Will people put in the wrong domain name extension (i,e, .com, .tv, .etc).
The name they are currently using, fits in well with the Shopify ecosystem, but you don't necessarily need a Shopify account to to Live with Verb.
In fact, it fits so well into the Shopify ecosystem the site says "Powered by Shopify".
Now why would you built your marketplace site using Shopify. I would think it would be easier and quicker to do it 50 different ways.
