My lawyer, now friend over the the last 20 years, and I met recently.
I asked for his professional opinion about these ridiculous lawsuits that keep popping up across all news and search feeds, frequent directly as a result of paid advertising to the companies with massive search engine algorithms, to scare investors.
These types of cases are generally dismissed, and thrown out of court.
IF someone takes the bait, usually there is some agreement to fabricate a “lead plain plaintiff”, joe schmoe who owns 10 shares, and agrees to let the “firm” use their name and there is a side thing happening (coughbribescough). If you sign up, you get a $1.80 check or something because they never actually get anything, as there is no actual truth in the matter.
Complete fabrication by money chasers. It’s meaningless and a nuisance for a long while, like a swarm of mosquitoes.
