i believe they are also doing it because they think they have the time to manipulate the SP because they dont see an EUA as imminent. is there possible surprises to this belief ? sure. the negotiation with a big pharma partner for potential licensing based on them funding certain trials could come any day. these negotiations I am sure are complex and the legal activity around these agreements takes time. So it depends on when DR Kelly honed in on the partner they are speaking with.
The other potential surprise is the activity in the Philippines with the 28 patients. if the results are what we believe they will be, it may accelerate some sort of emergency use beyond a few hospitals and if Duarte suspends the requirement from a place of origin EUA or a like country EUA...so there are some potential surprises here that could really wreak havoc with shorting..
