When he was hired, I was all excited that he had been hired and my memory is he was hired to get the HIV BLA refiled. But, when I heard him first be introduced on his first Conference Call, I was more than a little disappointed. At least when Dr. Pourhassan speaks about his mother in law, there is some relevance to the mention, but didn't Dr. Rahman talk about his son and how he wanted to spend more time with him? (Am I recalling correctly?). Frankly I wanted him to talk about how he intended to get the HIV BLA refiled, not hear how he planned to spend more time with his family. I held my thoughts to myself at the time, let's give the new guy some time to prove himself. I bet you Dr. Pourhassan, Dr. Kelly and all the others on that conference call had the same thoughts I did. Yet, since then, the BLA keeps getting pushed back and back and back. If that's the reason he left, failing to get progress on the HIV BLA refiling, I agree with the accountability here. Time's up, you can spend all the time you want with your family now.
