i agree that Patterson is a total stud, and commands tremendous respect. but i don't see any scenario where he comes back for reasons that have been stated.
the core issue (in addition to replacing Rahman, and fast) is NP as a face man and lead communicator. He's just not good at it. On the CC, When he went through the 3 options we now have to proceed with our COVID trials, i was utterly confused. to be fair, i'm no scientist or doctor, but it was just a rambling explanation that was "clear as mud". and it concerned the core activity of the company right now.
so, i guess i'm saying that it doesn't necessarily have to be Patterson (i think that ship has sailed) but it just can't be NP as our face-man - at least if we want to put our best foot forward. Maybe Recknor? Kelly? Both very impressive, both MDs.
