Good question MLR. The way I read it and remember it, if they are "talking about" the company in a way that directly influences the stock price that is prohibited. It used to be OK for the CEO and CFO to talk to analysts about the upcoming quarterly numbers before they were released and the average investor said "not fair", so the rule was put into effect to "even out" the playing field.
How detailed is the rule interpretation, that is above my pay grade, LOL. It may be deeper than I have found. But from what I have found from more than one source, they can't say very much until they have numbers. My nephew, learner1 and I came to the realization after my post last week about the quiet period (that I copied from an attorney web site) that as soon as Doc releases financials we are under the rules that he can't say much until quarter one numbers are out, as per my post. If anyone has additional information, please post it for discussion.
Again I will say (warn) we may not be on a calendar basis so this may be irrelevant and Doc may release tomorrow. I also may be missing something deeper that does allow him to continue talking.
