Chuckles, anecdotally, I know of a dozen situations that mirror this, and in nearly every single case, the person who contracted the virus and brought it back suffered little to no serious symptoms as their exposure was the lowest.. once home and everyone was breathing the same air and using the same restrooms, viral exposure went through the roof and so did disease severity.

Nobody in SD I know directly, but LA and SF outpaced NYC as far as death toll for friends and family, something I honestly would not have expected, given the lack of public interaction (on the scale of NYC). It was a sobering lesson of how dangerous variants are.
