I have to admit I can't stop thinking about the 14 day mortality numbers. I'm curious to know how many deaths we saw inside of 14 days. And then the numbers got interesting. And 82% reduction is a difficult figure to hit. For example:
LL. Placebo
2. 6. (This is an 83.3% reduction)
3. 8. (81.2% reduction)
3. 9. (83.3 reduction)
4. 11. (81.2% reduction)
4. 12. (83.3% reduction)
5. 14. (82.1% reduction)
6. 17. (82.3% reduction)
5 LL deaths and 14 Placebo deaths is the lowest combo that results in 82% reduction.. We had 62 patients so that would be roughly 41 in LL and 21 in Placebo. (Or 40/22)
LL. 5/41 = 12.2% (Or 5/40= 12.5%)
P. 14/21= 66.6% (or 14/22= 63.6%)
This can't be right. This would mean we reduced 14 day mortality from 63.6 to 12.5%?
