I never said that the ban was specific to a particular weapon. What I was attempting to get across was that if the guns that were banned happened to be popular, they never went away. After the 94 ban, the AR-15 continued to be sold in gun stores all across the country. They were just altered slightly and anyone who wanted an AR-15 could still get one.

Yes, the death rates from guns did begin to get lower after the ban but, if I'm not mistaken, the death rate from guns continued to decline even after 2004 when It became "legal to sell the AR-15 again."
If you don't want believe me and you don't want to believe the two above videos then stop by a gun store and talk with a guy or lady who've been working with guns for a while. They'll tell you the exact same thing.
