There is no guarantee of EUA being granted. However, there was a lot of very good data in CD12, and it's very hard to believe that the FDA will sit on their hands with what they have in this treatment: a very safe treatment that has the potential to cut the death toll in the overall critical population by ~ 25% and a higher percentage (32%) in those 65 and younger.
There will be conditions around a potential EUA. If granted, it will be restricted to critical patients. It will require further data to confirm efficacy.
However, if not granted, the FDA will be committing itself to the deaths of 250 to 320 Americans (@1000/day current rate) in perpetuity, as there is no other solution to this travesty. And, the COVID infection rates are yet again rising, so this number will increase.
