HERE WE GO! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $Jim Nixon

$Jim Nixon, the founder and CEO of $WCVC, decided to start making the product available after seeing the effect it had in treating his son’s multiple sclerosis.

“I started taking pills and was at the doctor’s often,” Jordan Nixon told Westword. “I used to get flare-ups, like, every six months. I lost vision one year, coordination and had pain shooting up and down my legs,” he said
All that changed when the owner of the cannabis company that Jordan Nixon used to work for offered him some CBD pills to see if they could help. “He said, ‘Oh, I heard some stories about M.S., why don’t you just try this?’ I did, and I had an MRI a few months later and there were drastic changes on the MRI.”
Three months after starting the pills, he claimed that his brain lesions had decreased in size so dramatically that his father wanted to spread the word the only way he knew how. “After seeing the benefits helping my son here, we wanted to share it with the world. We felt like we have a great vehicle with the restaurants to bring that on,” Jim Nixon said.
Instead of partnering with a cannabis company, the Nixons started one of their own and named it Illegal Brands. After plenty of experimentation, they decided to keep the offerings to CBD-infused water and 15 mg packages of CBD, which they sell for $2 each.

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS - Cannabidiol (CBD)
Spasticity is the main cause of disability in patients
with multiple sclerosis. Cannabinoids reduce
glutamate release, thereby regulating glutamatergic
excitability and consequently spasticity (23). In mice
models with autoimmune encephalomyelitis which
recreates multiple sclerosis in humans, CBD seemed
to ameliorate disease symptoms. The mechanisms
underlying the reduction in spasticity are the decrease
in pro-inflammatory mediators and activation of PPAR?
(peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma,
also known as glitazone receptor) and PI3K-AKT-mTOR
pathway (regulator of cell cycle) (24).
The MUSEC trial (2012), a double-blind, placebocontrolled, phase III study, involving 279 patients,
assessed the effects of oral administration of a
standardized Cannabis sativa extract (0.8-1.8 mg CBD
and 2.5 mg THC) on spasticity, pain, but also sleep
quality in multiple sclerosis. The study revealed the
capacity of Cannabis sativa standardized extract
to alleviate muscle stiffness in multiple sclerosis.
Authors also concluded that there was an effective
pain remission in patients, especially in patients
having high baseline pain score (25). In a randomized,
placebo-controlled, crossover trial, Corey-Bloom et
al. (2012) showed that inhaled cannabis reduced the
treatment-resistant spasticity in mutiple sclerosis
(26). A placebo-controlled, double-blind, betweengroups study on 493 patients with progressive
multiple sclerosis, did not find any effect on disease
progression when receiving a daily oral cannabis
extract (standardized in 0.8-1.8 mg CBD and 2.5
mg THC), dose-adjusted for each patient to a
maximum of 28 mg of THC daily for ten weeks (27).
As noted elsewhere, 40-60% of individuals with
multiple sclerosis manifest some degree of cognitive
Cannabidiol (CBD) enhanced the hippocampal immune response and autophagy of APP/PS1 Alzheimer's mice uncovered by RNA-seq

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a central nervous system disease characterized by dementia, which has now become a major threat to global health. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural component extracted from the hemp plant and exhibits multiple mechanisms to improve the pathological process of AD in vitro and in vivo. However, its underlying molecular mechanism is still unclear. This study attempts to reveal its common mechanism through transcriptome sequence. We performed transcriptome sequence in the hippocampus of 6 month old APP/PS1 mice chronically treated with CBD for one month or 30 days. In addition, Aß plaques were investigated by Immunohistochemistry. Autophagosomes were observed by transmission electron microscopy and the expression of autophagy related proteins was examined by Western blot. GO_BP and KEGG enriched analysis showed that the immune system response was up-regulation significantly. Both KEGG pathway analysis and GSEA analysis showed that autophagy was significantly up-regulated. Finally, the autophagy of hippocampal neurons in APP/PS1 mice treated with CBD was significantly enhanced by transmission electron microscopy. This study illustrated that CBD may improve the pathological process of AD by enhancing immune system response and autophagy pathway.
