Shit’s getting real with federal law enforcement.
From the Washington Post:
Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania and George Pierre Tanios, 39 of Morgantown, W.Va., were arrested Sunday and are expected to appear in federal court Monday. “Give me that bear s---,” Khater allegedly said to Tanios on video recorded at the Lower West Terrace of the Capitol at 2:14 p.m., where Sicknick and other officers were standing guard behind metal bicycle racks, arrest papers say.
About nine minutes later, after Khater said he had been hit with bear spray, Khater is seen on video discharging a canister into the face of Sicknick and two other officers, arrest papers allege.
I’ve been wondering this ever since the tear gas and bear spray cleared on January 6: What did these clowns expect was going to happen with all the evidence they were creating on their telephones before, during, and after allegedly committing crimes?
Did any of the putative leaders think to tell them to stop creating videos of themselves? The investigators seem to be drowning in proof at this point and, because of that, people are getting busted all over the map.
These two guys were from Pennsylvania and West Virginia. And it looks like the Feds may be trying to pin the organized part of the alleged crimes of that day on the Oath Keepers. The dragnet is extensive. From Florida Today:
Kenneth Harrelson, the 40-year-old Titusville man arrested Wednesday by the FBI and charged in federal court Thursday, is one of at least a dozen members of the far-right paramilitary Oath Keepers group implicated in the Capitol Riot and being prosecuted for alleged conspiracy against the United States.
The probable cause affidavit for charging Harrelson says he is a co-conspirator along with Jessica Watkins, Donovan Crowl, Thomas Caldwell, Sandra Parker, Bennie Parker, Graydon Young, Laura Steele, Kelly Meggs and Connie Meggs.
They were charged separately by a federal grand jury on Feb. 19. The court filing is part of the case in which the Oath Keepers are accused of coordinating their alleged roles in the assault, which left five dead including a Capitol police officer.

I mean, look at those two clucks, making videos inside the Capitol while someone else makes a video of them making their videos. Did either of them think to tell the person filming them to stop, because providing video proof of your alleged crimes is not what master revolutionaries do?
In any event, the Feds are taking this extraordinarily seriously, and while there does seem to be a strange compulsion among federal judges to make pre-trial incarceration as a) brief, and b) comfortable as possible, there’s no question that a massive conspiracy trial is in our future, with satellite proceedings all over the country.
And while anyone who lived through the bad old days has every reason to be wary of political prosecutions, I have to say, what do we expect is going to happen when the defendants play the roles of target and COINTELPRO at the same time? It’s very strange.
