Case in point, I am an entertainment attorney and sometimes represent writers of screenplays. For a first time writer, it is just a fact that on your first deal, you're going to have to, excuse the term, "bend over" a bit because you have little to no leverage. But on your second deal, the playing field changes because (hopefully) you have some success that you can point to based on your previous project. Same here with CYDY...make the best deal that you can to start, based on what you have and where you are, and know that your next deal will be very different if you are successful.
