So the main reason we have seen the large share price drop is due to shorts and or hedge funds, and attack articles? and not mainly due to trial data?
The missed Primary Endpoint gave them fuel, but if shorting was not permitted, where would we be, at maybe $6.00/share ?
And the substantial drop (caused by shorts coming in) also causes longs to panic, take their losses, critique everybody and the drug. When the shorts cover, it's too late for the longs who sold AND those longs who sold also are responsible for some or much of the share price drop.
So naked short shares is illegal. Do they still have to cover (buy) in order to return shares? Or naked, does that mean they never borrowed shares? Sounds radically illegal.
