I wish I could feel more positive, hell, even somewhat positive, but to be still stuck on developing "the path forward" without an EUA after presenting "the best results ever achieved for this population" seems like bad news to me. If the problem is too small of a severe population to provide enough data to warrant the EUA, aside from a recruitment failure, isn't that also on the FDA for approving the trial to move forward as it was presented? I hate to sound like some Qanon conspiracy whackjob, but on the surface, from the outside looking in, that reeks of deliberate or at least passive/aggressive sabotage, unless an EUA is granted quickly for the critical population while the open label is continued for the severe group while that arm of the trial continues. If that was the case, we'd have been told in the PR. Being put on hold for a few more months without an EUA as the warmer weather in the more populous Northern Hemisphere and the three approved vaccines combine to drastically reduce the severity of the pandemic does not sit well with me. I'm as nervous as a hooker in church over how this will affect the path forward with our SP. As a chump who's "all in" I hope I am dead wrong. Only 9 1/2 days left on the 10-day weekend as a couple clever posters have been calling it. Whew! What a ride!
