Just to clarify for non-Catholics. I know many Catholics very serious about their religion. Their anti-abortion feelings are strong. Orthodox Jews don’t eat shellfish for religious reasons, but they understand that others in society do eat them. There is no condemnation there of clam and oyster lovers from other religions. Their decision is a very personal religious choice. Similarly, if a catholic decides not to get a certain vaccine because of its link to abortion, they are more likely than not to not condemn those who do. Societal opinion and religious opinion are not necessarily the same nor mutually exclusive.
