Groundhog Day came on the second of March this year.... To wit:

The board discusses ways around this.

The board stops discussing Material Events. We each go back to our tasks. We each think for a minute of the people dying, most of them without names. We each think about a Material Event from outside, in the form of a PR from someone we don't know, that will change our own lives. We dream for a second, then, as always, do what we have to do. Another day in the life.
