The DSMC made the recommendation which tells us including 42 day mortality can ONLY HELP reaching stat significance for the PE. It coukd only benefit the trial outcome. There was a cost to this recommendation though, and that cost would have meant extending the trial timeline, especially if there was a 75% look and the DSMC recommended to change the protocol to 42 days for the entire trial. Seems CYDY made the decision that the benefit did not outweigh the cost.
