I think the main point of people not getting vaccines is they compound the risk of this pandemic being dragged out for years. Yes the people who run the small risk of getting a vaccine, make the anti-vaccination crowds life possible.
If 40-60% of people said I'm don't want to take the risk then we would never get over or beat back any virus. It will keep on infecting, and the more hosts it has, the better chance it has of mutating and evading the vaccines.
If we all were like the anti-vaccine group we never would have beaten smallpox, and the polio wards would still be full.
And talking about polio wards we are basically seeing the same result of a virus in the long haulers, they are just not lined up in wards for everyone to see. And to say the vaccines may be causing long-haulers is ridiculous we KNOW exactly what is causing long-haulers, COVID INFECTIONS. And it seems like it may not matter whether you had a severe case or mild on whether you become a long-hauler.
