That sort of disinhibition will be the source of variants that will evade the immunity provided by those same vaccines, eventually.
People are also acting as though reservoirs don't exist in other species. The amount of coordination it's going to take to end this is beyond the US for the moment. It may take a variant with sharply higher mortality to fix that. LLMab should be in heavy production by then, in the meantime, no vaccination should be absolutely relied on. Keep wearing masks, avoiding crowds, closed environments, public transport and bathrooms, etc
