What does everyone think about J&J's claim that their vaccine is 100% sure of avoiding death from Covid? Will that claim, if true, affect in any way.
I'm sure one of the vaccines, and actually I think both Moderna's and Phizer's vaccine, were said to have 100% efficacy is preventing death for covid-19. The 95% reported for them, was to prevent severe/critical covid-19, not death and not prevention of mild nor moderate nor asymptomatic covid-19. There were quite a few folks who got mild/moderate covid-19 after being vaccinated.
Regardless of vaccines, Leronlimab will not be able to meet the demand for it, for years.
1) 1/3 of Americans are still refusing to get a vaccine shot.
2) mutations are in the news all over the planet, vaccines may not be able to kep up.
3) one of the recently discovered mutations is said to be more deadly and also more contagious
4) leronlimab is the best drug for s/c covid-19, may be the best drug for m/m covid-19, and will probably be the best drug for covid-19 longhaulers.
Longhaulers may turn out to be a huge market, because longhaulers are not only those who had severe or critical infection, serious moderate covid-19 infected patients are also suffering after recovery.
