I remember from a CC or interview that 5 kilograms will supply 1 Billion doses. The timeframe was less clear but it didn't seem like a long period was needed. However remember, we are not baking cookies or going for fast food.
Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls and Good Manufacturing Practices are complicated and take a while. Multiple runs of 5 iikey peptides with the B cell epitopes plus the stabilization testing run. Goes from there to Thermal Fisher for mixing and fill finishing. Figure around a month plus considering the stabilization testing takes at least a month.
All this has to be included in the IND application and will be initiated and run during the IND process.
Price tag? I have no idea.
