If you look at FDA funding, a significant amount of their budget comes from”user’s fees” from Pharma companies. Each NDA cost the Pharma company over $2 million dollars. So obviously , the largest Pharma companies applying for the most reviews is going to provide the most funding in the user fees category. This may not fit the category of corruption but the Pharma companies providing the most money to the FDA may be getting ( and I want to emphasize , may ) the benefit of the doubt and also sub conscious priority in their reviews and speed in which they get their drugs evaluated and prioritized. This funding program started back when I was in Pharma in 1992 when the fda was so backlogged it was ridiculous. So this funding act was passed and has been in place since then . I’ll let the readers draw their own conclusions but would ask you to look at how many small drug companies have had approvals for covid treatments vs larger pharmas..
