Have a question for ya. I have a Friend of a friend in Boston on oxygen for Covid. I saw somewhere that if your in 1 of the 18 trial site hospitals for the phase 3 S/C you just have to ask for leronlimab and no red tape .These doctors don’t have a clue what’s going on . They Told her they where just in the phase 3 trial . That it’s unsafe to give the drug that’s not approved. On dec 24 FDA gave Cydy open label use. So how can any doctor refuse any of us this drug if we ask for it ?
my response:
I had a similar experience on the phone with the trial site in Winston Salem, NC.
I must have talked to 12 people. All the people had never heard of Leronlimab until I finally was able to talk to a Physician's Asst who worked in the covid-19 wards, He said they had hydroxychloroquine and remdesivir for severe patients. He was familiar with the Leronlimab trials, but did not state it was available for all/any severe patients. I called again later, and got a nurse in the covid-19 wards who said that severe patients can request and get leronlimab, if they qualify according to symptoms and severity of symptoms. The person would first need to be admitted to their hospital, before being guaranteed they could get leronlimab. I made these calls in case my wife or I would get infected and would advance to s/c.
