My best guess is leronlimab produces a 60% reduction in mortality for severe Covid.
Pfizer (and I believe moderna) claim a 100% reduction in severe Covid with their vaccines.
Ideally leronlimab will soon be used for HIV, Nash and conditions for which we have not vaccines or effective treatments.
As we know, thousands of doses of vaccines administered with only a few hundred symptomatic cases (both placebo and vaccine), so some hesitancy about results is appropriate.
Nonetheless, with millions of doses delivered now, a fe dozens of severe allergic reactions.
We are approaching 500,000 deaths from Covid in the us. I hope we all can do everything in our power not to tech that grim milestone.
