The FDA extended the trial as open label a month ago. Does that mean the placebo patients in the trial were eligible to receive LL at that point ? I hope so. If so how can the deaths at 42 days for those patients be relevant? Were they used as sacrificial lambs to satisfy scientific curiosity? I hope not.
