Covid-19. The Victoires de la Musique could welcome an audience of 1,300 people
In a statement, the General Manager of the Association des Victoires de la Musique said that the show could take place in front of 1,300 people and thus serve as a test for other concerts during this pandemic period.

What if live concerts were possible again? While France is preparing for a probable new confinement to fight against the pandemic and the appearance of variants of the coronavirus, the Victoires de la Musique deemed it possible to organize the ceremony, scheduled for February 12 at the Seine Musicale (Boulogne- Billancourt), with 1,300 spectators.

“It would finally be possible for the artists to find the stage, and especially their fans, under a strict health protocol which commits everyone: the organizers, the rooms, and of course the public. And if everyone plays along, we could finally see the end of this terrible period for our entire industry, ” said Jean-Yves de Linares, general manager of the Association des Victoires de la Musique in a statement.

Perform antigen testing on the public
The idea is attractive, but how do you make it happen? “The protocol will require an antigen test at the entrance to the show, only negative people then having the right to attend the event. A questionnaire sent by SMS to all participants on D + 2 then a second test on D + 5 to measure contamination complete the protocol, ” indicates Innova Medical Group, with which the Victoires de la Musique collaborates.

Carrying out antigenic tests of the public " is the subject of a request for authorization from the competent authorities" , specifies BFMTV .

The Victoires de la Musique could thus be based on tests and a "tracing" of spectators to ensure the show with the public on February 12.

The shortlist of the 36 th edition is already available.

The Barcelona example
At the end of December, more than 1,000 people had attended a concert in Barcelona . Entrance tests and compulsory mask inside were imposed. All the participants in this event had tested negative for the coronavirus eight days later, and no cluster had appeared after this meeting.

In France, no event of this kind had seen the light of day until recently. After the Victoires de la Musique, two test concerts are already announced at the Dôme de Marseille in February, with IAM headlining.
