An application can take up to eight weeks to process but in many cases takes a lot longer due to a variety of issues including the issuer not being prepared to move forward and the issuer not being in compliance with all listing criteria.
Applications can be amended at any time and amendments in and of themselves don’t necessarily result in a longer processing time.
Applicants can track the process of their application by contacting Nasdaq.
Applicants, but not the general public, are notified as soon as an application is filed.
Applications are generally being processed in a timely manner at this time.
So from what I gathered, the entire process from start to finish is confidential and the company is notified and then they decide when to tell shareholders.
