Inferences are what we are dancing with here. I don't see any precedent valuable for civil suits. The same kind of settlement in all the other suits would give nothing useful to any shareholder. It would primarily pay some attorney’s salary…if even that much. I think the other suits are dead.
Money changed hands because it was expedient as much as anything else. I would agree that JB’s behavior was mildly reckless. It’s hard to prove more.
Again…What precedent has been established for future settlements? Show where SEC settlements at this level have produced civil cases where a company has been sued multiple times for the same basic offense and won.
This discussion thread borders on FUD and trolling. Its main use is for rocking the stock to trade. Some will profit.
