It's simple, powerful and more people should follow it. -
In this day an age, we often find ourselves taking our work home with us, or even better, we tend to take on too many responsibilities at once. While we consciously think we're doing the right thing to advance, nine times out of ten it ends up doing the complete opposite.
I'm sure you've seen the movie ' A Beautiful Mind '. (This is just my opinion, and I'm more than certain there's a lot of people that will disagree with me on this one. 
Especially considering I was a business major and only took a handful of courses relating to psychology.)
The man's a living genius, a brilliant mathematician, someone that I have a lot of respect for and have spent endless hours studying. In my opinion, John Forbes Nash, Jr. would have never been institutionalized for paranoid schizophrenia if he hadn't put the World on his shoulders the way that he did. Just think about this glass theory , for years he stressed himself out trying to make a name for himself while pursuing the ' Fields Medal ' and all along he had already accomplished himself by developing the 'Equilibrium Point' before he even graduated. That ultimately earned him the 'Noble Prize in Economics' for his work on the ' Nash Equilibrium ' for the principle's in 'Game Theory '.
I personally treat the stock market as a game of chess, and I tend to do things right the first time around. Don't get me wrong, I make mistakes like everyone else, but I also make it a point to analyze every possible move by not rushing into anything without considering every possible scenario.
Just think about how my career started. When I was in College, I had a disagreement with my professor that ended by him stating that he'd fail me if I turned in a paper without editing something on it. Plus he told me to save my money and not to bother going to graduate school. (FacePalm) The laugh ended up being on him, that single edit ended up changing the history of a large Fortune 500 Company at a time when all others were failing during the 2008 Financial Crisis .

This site has some of the best investors in the World, while the media's concentrating on what the Warren Buffett and Karl Icahn's are doing, the members of Investors Hangout are giving some of the top hedge funds on Wall Street a run for their money. (I also look up to them... )

Here's the moral of my story, it doesn't matter what your Investment style is here on the Hangout, there's members here that blogged about OTC and Small Cap Companies that presented even higher gains than me... and yes, if you compared my #'s to a Hedge Fund, I would've cleared over 200% just on Mid and Large Cap for 2012...
There's sites out there in this World that continue to give Stock Message Boards a bad name, this site isn't playing that game. Investors / Traders in the United States and the World have a voice here, let's make money together! It doesn't matter if your on Wall Street or Main Street, the perception needs to change, we all put our pants on one leg at a time.
