Thanks Doc. I have had Bell's Palsy - you don't want Bell's Palsy. It looks like one side of your face is paralyzed, and it droops like it is sloughing off. You slur words because your lips do not react. In the most severe cases, you lose the ability to close your eye or blink. You have to use saline drops to keep the eye wetted - when you sleep, you have to put a block and patch on the eye to keep it closed and moist (I was lucky - mine only affected the facial muscles and the mouth. I was able to blink and close both eyes). The doctor I saw said it can last from 6 weeks to forever, ie, you never recover from it. Again, I was lucky - I took acupuncture every day for 2 weeks and was sufficiently recovered in 3 weeks that I could give a major presentation to the CEO of our biggest client - but I did have to apologize for the slurring of some words as I spoke. The effects of the BP lasted about 2 months. It was not fun.
It's this type of post that makes me hesitant to take the existing vaccine, since I have had autoimmune issues in the past (and still suffer from mild asthma). I really want the NGIO vaccine to be approved.
