What a litany of straw man questions.
Missing from all the answers is the obvious answer, not until herd immunity is approached.
That will become apparent from a drop in cases and deaths.
The only people who will fall for the false choice answer are the mindless, yes, fearful and fearmongering antivaxxers and anti-maskers. The very people who will slow the march toward herd immunity.
if indulging willful ignorance wasn't harmful to the wider population you could go your merry way. BUT, you can't piss in just one end of the pool, or leave a lincoln log, without affecting the entire pool.
