If/when I take vaccine -
It will NOT be any of the mRNA types out now: "Once inside your cells, the mRNA instructs your cells’ protein factories to make copies of these viral proteins. These then stimulate your immune system to mount a protective immune response. Too new, law of unintendeds
Novavax is not mRNA, but much closer to traditional.
"The Novavax vaccine, NVX-CoV2373, contains purified pieces of the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. These proteins are administered with an adjuvant, a molecule that enhances the immune response.
"Early clinical trials were performed in Australia. In the phase 1 clinical trials, the vaccine was generally well-tolerated and produced strong antibody responses, stronger than what we see in patients recovering from COVID-19.
Results should be out soon: "In September, Novavax launched a phase 3 clinical trial in the United Kingdom. Further large-scale clinical trials are planned for other countries in late 2020 and early 2021.
