Univec was founded by Joel Schoenfeld of Great Neck, NY for those syringes and their patented technology... was private as of August 1992 and went public at the very end of 1996 with offices in Garden City, NY ...

Looks like Dr. Dalton was officially welcomed to Univec in December 2001 as Univec acquired PPSI (Physician & Pahrmaceutical Services, Inc.), here's the 8-K filing:

Btw, I said above Dr. Dalton was 'officially welcomed' because I feel he was involved with Univec even before officially getting on the Board. I'd love to some day hear his full story by him.
