This stuff takes time. Worked for Pharma for a long time. This is urgent to the patients, doctors , and of course, us but the FDA is not going to modify their rules significantly for the pandemic as we have witnessed. When things appear to us they should take days, they take weeks. It’s unfortunate but that’s the process here.
my response:
This endimic is urgent to the entire planet. In such an extreme crisis/pandemic as this, and NO SIGNS YET OF A DOWN TURN IN DEATHS OR NEW CASES, the FDA has proven itself to be INHUMANE (displaying minimal concern for human life) by not being creative and adapting, but rather, acting "cowardly" remaining stringent stiff as a cement mountain with their protocol???? It seems the public and honest/wise politicians and doctors would have supported a move "MANY MONTHS AGO, such as granting an EUA to a drug:
1) that is known/proven to be "extremely safe" (better than placebo)
2) that "may be effective" (actually that very probably is effective)
3) that has our eIND cases data (85% recovery of 72 s/c patients)
The consequences of the FDA not adapting to what is now an "endemic" are
1) massive economic suffering
2) massive physical suffering
3) massive numbers of unfathomable deaths
4) the FDA has become a cowardly travesty, an embarrassment to all America
Yeah, I know, it all takes time. Sure. Sophistication, eloquent impressive thorough scientific method. I'm a retired chemistry instructor, yeah, protocol.
Almost any idea, concept, process, protocol, great procedure taken to a extreme extreme, ends in disappointing results.
