We really tend to dismiss one thing while trying to prove something else. The human body is an echo system that is all interconnected and has intricate dependencies. Immunological responses and relationships all across the body are a big player in the human echo system. That is a logic where when organs begin to fail, there is a domino effect to all of them failing. Even if we can just slow down Alzheimers and give victims a few years of quality, that is a major breakthrough, much like the major breakthroughs that LLis going to make with many different types of cancers.
Just moving between the BB barrier is a major breakthrough and a integral part of that echo system and it HAS to have a positive impact on this really cruel disease.
I've cared for a parent with it and it is so difficult to see the essence of who that person is slip slowly away. I really hope that LL can at least help if not cure.
