Early results show that LL not only eliminated CTC (circulating tumor cells) and drastically reduced CAML, but it also seems to help the immune system fight cancer.
This last piece (maybe not to ohm and the other wicked smart medical minds) to me was a surprise. We were hoping/expecting metastasis to be reduced, but when the scans came back with the tumors shrinking as well, it became a potential game changer.
Imagine, that LL does slow/stop/shrink tumors and eliminate metastasis. (oh and it also allow chemo to be more effective by reducing the bodies resistance to it). Not only will this extend and save lives, I believe that it will create a scenario in which cancer patients can pace themselves with chemo. Rather than suffer through a gauntlet of successive treatments.
