We had a run fueled in part by new investors. New investors are particularly vulnerable, because they often (and esp in the case of reddit) are investing with minimal due diligence.
Shorters use this to play their games. They publish a BS research article because those same folks wont take the time to research the claims.
The objective is to scare new investors into panic selling their shares. I believe the best way to combat this is to educate people to their tactics. Its the same pattern every time.
There is nothing negative about giving people a heads up that they may be coordinating. Would you rather be blind sided by it?
