I would love the excuse to meet in Belize with blue skies, a nice drink, shrimp cocktail and great tunes and great conversation about TECO, music, or whatever. I was also shocked to hear about Brad Delp who had the most incredible voice. Boston's sound was founded by Tom Scholz. Tom was an MIT Mechanical Engineering graduate i.e. the best engineering school in the country. It hits home for me because I grew up in a suburb of Boston and applied to MIT during high school though I was never accepted. Tom invented the synthesized type sound with the guitar vs the keyboard which gave it that unique sound. Listen to the riffs on Long Time/Foreplay below. It also highligths Brads voice and pitch he could handle and the highs! Wow! Listen to the guitar solos towards the end and the "fuzzy", "wows" and "echoes" synthesized like sounds coming out a guitar and this was the mid 70's.
